Our Mission
In this context, health encompasses enhancing the physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being of Canadians and safeguarding the welfare of pets and partners (Human Services Assistance Animals).
Primary Goal
We aim to foster unity in diversity and inspire collective innovation through collaboration with interested beneficiaries, stakeholders, and supporters to:
Co-develop a seamless and informative single point of entry to help navigate Canada’s fragmented, self-regulated, and rapidly growing Animal-Assisted Human Services (AAHS) industry while preserving service providers’ credibility.
Beneficiaries of AAHS
- Persons with disabilities
- Families and caregivers
- Veterans, Paramedics, and Essential Workers
- Prison inmates and other persons in trouble with the law
- Victims of crime
- Students
- Hospital Patients and the list goes on.

The Canadian Foundation for Animal-Assisted Support Services (CF4AASS) is an impartial, nationally registered charity.
The charity’s programs and support services include, but are not limited to, stakeholder collaboration, hosting special events, advocacy, outreach and education, research, and the co-development of voluntary national standards that outline essential descriptive service delivery requirements (operational industry benchmarks and metrics) to advance AAHS across Canada, to foster One Health for People, Pets, and Partners™.
